Frequently asked questions

E-signatures in a nutshell

How much does an electronic signature cost?

€3 per signer. Creating an account is free, there’s no monthly fee, and signing is always free for the people who sign. See pricing →

Do signers need to register?

No. Each signer gets a personal link by email, and by text message too if you add a phone number. They open the document in the browser and sign — no account or app needed.

Are electronic signatures legally binding?

Yes, for most agreements. Under the EU eIDAS Regulation, an electronic signature cannot be denied legal effect solely because it is electronic. The exceptions are documents that the law requires in a special form — in many countries, for example, property transfers and wills. Read more →

Can people in other countries sign?

Yes. Anyone with an email address can sign, wherever they are. Signers don’t need a national e-ID, a bank ID or any software.

What kind of documents can I send for signing?

Any PDF up to 10 MB — a tenancy agreement, an employment contract, a bill of sale or a power of attorney, for example. Up to 10 signers per document.

What happens when everyone has signed?

Every party receives the final PDF by email. A signing certificate with the audit trail is attached at the end: signers, timestamps, IP addresses and the document’s SHA-256 hash.

What if someone doesn’t sign?

Signer reminds them automatically every 24 hours. Signing links are valid for 30 days, and you can resend a link from your dashboard at any time.
