Terms of service

These terms apply to the use of the Signer service.

1. Provider

The provider's details are given in the privacy policy. Contact: info@signer.fi.

2. The service

With Signer, a sender sends a PDF document to be signed electronically. Each signer receives a personal link, and a signing certificate with the audit trail is appended to the completed document. A Signer signature is an electronic signature within the meaning of the EU eIDAS Regulation (EU) No 910/2014. It is not a qualified electronic signature and does not replace strong electronic identification.

The sender is responsible for an electronic signature being suitable for the document. Some documents have special form requirements by law, for example real-estate transfers and wills in many countries.

3. Account

Creating an account is free. Keep your password to yourself. You are responsible for requests sent with your account. Tell us at once if you suspect your account has been misused.

4. Prices and payment

A signature request costs €3 per signer. There are no monthly fees. The price is shown before payment and is paid through PayPal when the request is sent. The service is performed as soon as the invitations go out to the signers. API packages and their prices are shown on the API page; a package can be used for 24 months from purchase.

Signing is always free for the signer.

5. Your responsibilities

  • Send only documents you have the right to process and send.
  • Give correct details of the signers. A signing link is personal and must not be passed on to anyone else.
  • The service must not be used for unlawful purposes, for signing in another person's name, for harassment or for spam.

We may close an account or stop a request if the service is used against these terms.

6. Documents and personal data

Documents are stored and processed as described in the privacy policy. Completed documents and audit trails are kept for 5 years from signing. Download the completed document to your own records – every party also receives it by email.

7. Availability and limitation of liability

We aim to keep the service available without interruption but cannot guarantee it. The service may be briefly unavailable during maintenance or faults.

Our liability is limited to direct damage and to no more than the amount paid for the service in the previous 12 months. We are not liable for indirect damage or for whether an electronic signature is acceptable for a particular purpose. These limitations do not apply to damage caused intentionally or through gross negligence, nor to rights of consumers under mandatory law.

8. Changes

We may change these terms. We will announce material changes in advance on the website or by email. Requests already sent are governed by the terms in force when they were sent.

9. Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by Finnish law. We aim to settle any dispute by negotiation first. A consumer may also take a dispute to the consumer dispute body or court of their home country where mandatory law so provides.

In force from 5 November 2026.
